Sydney Slubik, RN
Sydney is a Registered Nurse and the owner of Sydclinic, where she combines clinical experience, advanced nursing education, and a passion for skin health to provide personalized medical aesthetic care.
After graduating with honours from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Sydney gained clinical experience in women’s health and emergency care. She has since completed her Master of Nursing, allowing her to further integrate research, education, and evidence-based practice into the care provided at Sydclinic.
Sydney’s continued pursuit of advanced education, including beginning the Nurse Practitioner program in 2026, reflects her commitment to safe, informed, and clinically guided treatment planning.
At Sydclinic, her approach focuses on individualized assessment, client education, and treatment recommendations that align with each client’s goals, anatomy, medical history, and skin health.

Trina Thorne, NP
Meet Trina, a Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience, specializing in acute care, community health, and now medical aesthetics. After earning her Master of Nursing from the University of Alberta in 2014, she pursued a PhD in Nursing, focusing on evidence-based practice. In 2021, she completed advanced training in aesthetic injectables, seamlessly blending her clinical expertise and research skills to provide the highest standard of care. At Sydclinic, Trina ensures treatments are backed by the latest scientific advancements, delivering safe, effective, and personalized aesthetic solutions. Outside of work, Trina enjoys traveling and spending time at Jackfish Lake with family, friends, and her French bulldogs.
